Gorgona is produced from Vermentino and Ansonica grapes grown on a small, two-hectare vineyard on the island of Gorgona. The vines are planted in iron-rich soils with eastern exposure and natural protection from winds. The wine is the result of a collaboration between Frescobaldi and the Gorgona island project, expressing the maritime environment and Mediterranean character of this unique location.
