Mont d'Or is the oldest wine estate inValais. He is also known for havingi ntroduced Sylvaner to Switzerland, renamed Johannisberg and becoming his favorite grape variety. The certified organic terraced vines are located south of the Montorge nature reserve,near Sion. Since the creation of the estate in the 19th century, its wines have regularly been praised by critics.
