The idea of Distillers Edition is to offer an alternative expression to every whisky; add flavor and complexity. None of us can improve perfection, but we can still emphasize different aspects of taste through the maturing process. Distillers Edition is an annual limited production where malt whiskies are double-aged in different types of barrels. The second aging takes place in batches, in individually prepared casks where the wine has been stored. It takes months to complete each batch and the result is one bottling. Each bottle is produced in limited quantities and bears the date of distillation and bottling and the batch number.
