In addition, cider is naturally gluten‑free, making it suitable for those who follow a gluten‑free diet. Red‑fleshed apples from the orchards of Brittany and Normandy are known for their fresh, tart flavour and for their high content of natural red pigments not only in the skin, but also in the flesh, giving them a unique natural colour.
