Glenmorangie 10 Year Old Original

0 reviews

Glenmorangie Original is Scotland's most popular single malt whisky, originating from North Highland, Tain in Ross-shire. First released more than 175 years ago by Anne and William Matheson, the original Glenmorangie 10 year old was known for its mellow tones and delicacy of flavour. All these years later, Original remains at the heart of everything we do. It’s where all our whisky-making adventures begin. Like home, we carry with us, no matter how far we travel. And every time we return, we discover something new. To give it a delicious go-anywhere finesse, we make it in stills as tall as giraffes. Then we let it age for 10 years in bourbon casks absorbing all manner of delectable At Glenmorangie, we are constantly embarking on new sensory journeys, yet we always come home to Original. The Glenmorangie distillery was one of the first to study the effects of oak on whisky. Glenmorangie stills are the highest in Scotland, with old ones replaced by new ones of exactly the same shape and size. Hard water comes from the springs of Tarlogie forests. The oak barrels used are old Kentucky bourbon barrels. Other barrels (e.g. sherry, port) are used only in the final years of the ageing process.
